YDRA Committee & Dog Park Sub-Committee
10 June 2025 5 pm- Normanville Hotel
Present: Amanda Crossley (Chair), Richard Fairweather (Treasurer), Lorraine Felix (Secretary), Jane Power, Keith Wells, Judith Wells, Paul Jelfs.

Previous Minutes.
This being the first formal meeting after the AGM, there were no minutes to review.
Correspondence
One letter sent to Council CEO in April 2025. No acknowledgment or response to date. It was agreed that outgoing correspondence should be posted on the YDRA website and Facebook page.
Treasurer’s Report
Richard provided balances to 31 May 2025. The Stripe payment facility available on the website was discussed. Agreed to maintain since it is no cost to the Association and is used by some members .Noted that two recent deposits to the bank account via Stripe, were payment of membership fees, less exchange rate variations. Richard has a list of paid-up members, and he will give Lorraine a copy.
Bungala Project Report
Jane gave an update on recent activities. Next working bee is scheduled. The group is planning to seek funding for directional signage for a nature walk being planned for the refurbished area.
Dog Park Project
Lorraine gave an update on progress with the detailed proposal to go to Council. Thanks to Richard for all his work creating plans and drawings for all the elements of the park. The dog park sub-committee will need to meet for a final review of the submission before it goes to Council.
If the timing allows, the hope is that Nick Noack will prepare a report to Council for the July meeting, outlining a draft MOU between Council and YDRA. This would be like the Community Garden agreement. Once we have that, we can proceed to apply for grants. The site plan and construction details will probably have to go to public consultation. In addition, the whole project will require us meeting planning guidelines.
Other Business
Keith reported that he has contacted via email, Progress Associations in the District, seeking collaboration over community issues. No replies yet.
