Yankalilla Residents Association was formed in 2019 at a community forum. The community felt that speaking as a group would have more impact than as individuals.

This group is a not-for-profit organisation and is funded by membership fees and small community-based grants.

YDRA provides a platform to voice your concerns and to find other like-minded community members to see if there is consensus, if so, the community can then decide what action to take. For example, ask to call a general meeting, prepare a submission to the elected members’ forum or make a delegation to an elected council member or MP.

It’s also about visioning and providing a platform to discuss ideas for future developments, to make the region a safer, fairer, and more beautiful place to live.
