Bungala River Community Meeting – what next ?
The Bungala River Working Group is calling for volunteers. Do you love this river and want to see it restored? Then read on.

The community came together on 23rd June 2022 to talk about their river. The Bungala River Working Group gave an update on their findings and talked about next steps. A presentation from members of the working group including councilor Glen Rowlands, Chair of the Fleurieu Environment Centre Matt Robertson, Wayne Gibbs, Jane Power, and Richard Fairweather from the Yankalilla District Residents Association.

The presentation ran through the river’s history, geography, and biodiversity and finished with a community engagement plan that showed how a Friends of Bungala River Organisation might proceed.
How to get involved
We are looking for people to be on the new management committee, people with the skills to steer the new Friends of Bungala River organisation and to help guide the friends and volunteers on the ground.
